One thing is clear to Harvey Matusow: lying is big business.  Barely 28, Harvey has basked in fame as a star government witness and national political spokesman for Senator Joe McCarthy.  The problem is, he's done it by fabricating outlandish stories about accused communists.  Rampant public paranoia and the politics of fear have enabled Matusow's brand of opportunism to thrive in the big business of paid informing.  In a few short years, he's transformed himself from an aimless young war veteran hanging around Bronx street corners into a member of the American anti-communist elite, paying no regard to the lives he's ruined along the way.
