CAMERA APPROACH
Shifting with Harvey’s view of himself, but always self-aggrandizing and stylized. Our treatment of him is frequently in motion, either through predominately hand-held work or via steadicam, slider, and/or dolly. When his allegiances move from side to side, his visual style evolves to take on the characteristics of those around him, like a chameleon. We often end up in his personal space, sucked into his domineering perspective, to the point of making us uncomfortable.
Harvey Matusow fancies himself many things: truth-seeker, oracle, Don Juan, captivating goofball entertainer, serious and unparalleled intellectual, a friend to many, the envy of all.
